Lost Logging Dam Recovered
Late in 2011, a bush walking exploration group went out in search of historical artifacts in the Noojee State Forest.
Group leader, Andrew Jordan and friends came across what they believed to be an old trestle bridge. After extensive research it was discovered that it was in fact an old saw mill dam used to provide water for the logs to stop them from splitting in the heat.
This group often explore the bush for the purpose of finding lost historical sites and this was one of their bigger discoveries.
The Society promises to continue to report on future progress with this group.
