Site Visit From Minister Louise Asher 2012

On March 2nd, 2012, the Victorian Minister for Tourism, Louise Asher MP, was welcomed to Noojee, where the Noojee and District Historical Society introduced her to their proposed plans for a heritage centre to be constructed on the original Noojee railway station site.

The Minister toured the site escorted by members from the Society, who shared plans and photographs of the proposed buildings to demonstrate what the site will look like once completed and how it would combine tourism with heritage and also perform an educational role.

A formal presentation was made, with members of the public, council members and children from the local primary school in attendance.

Minister Asher was presented with a plaque to commemorate her visit to the Heritage Centre Project and at the conclusion of the proceedings was driven to the nearby Outpost Restuarant in a vintage model Ford.
